Job Overview
The Medical Consultant & Specialist / Head of Clinical Department (Internal Medicine) will oversee all aspects of the Internal Medicine department at Enugu International Hospital. This leadership role requires a physician with exceptional clinical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in patient care, research, and education. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of internal medicine practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care to patients within the Internal Medicine department.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Internal Medicine physician and support staff.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices.
- Ensure the highest quality of patient safety and outcomes.
- Contribute to departmental strategic planning and operational efficiency.

Requirements
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or equivalent in Internal Medicine.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of post-fellowship clinical experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership or departmental head role is highly desirable.
- Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and problem-solving skills.
