Job Overview
The Medical Doctor will play a pivotal role in delivering essential healthcare services within the Dikwa operational area. This position requires a skilled and compassionate physician capable of managing a range of medical conditions, contributing to public health initiatives, and ensuring high standards of patient care in a challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical consultations, diagnosis, and treatment to patients.
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and therapies.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and interpret results.
- Conduct health education sessions for patients and the community.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to INTERSOS medical protocols and international health standards.
- Contribute to health assessments and outbreak investigations as needed.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD) or equivalent.
- Valid medical license to practice.
- Proven experience as a Medical Doctor, preferably in humanitarian or resource-limited settings.
- Proficiency in general medicine and emergency care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability and resilience in challenging environments.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
