We are currently seeking a dedicated Data Collector to support our vital work.

Job Overview

The Data Collector will play a crucial role in gathering accurate and reliable information to support DAPHO’s program monitoring, evaluation, and research initiatives across Nigeria. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to ethical data collection practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews and surveys with target populations to collect relevant data.
  • Administer questionnaires and record responses accurately, both in digital and paper formats.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines for data collection.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of collected data through thorough verification.
  • Regularly report on data collection progress and challenges to supervisors.
  • Assist in data entry and cleaning as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in data collection, particularly within health or social sectors.
  • Proficiency in using data collection tools and devices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of local communities and cultures in Nigeria.
