The British High Commission in Nigeria is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Migration Programme Officer and ISF Assurance Manager. This role is integral to our Political Section’s mission of fostering strong bilateral relations with the Nigerian Government and monitoring the political landscape. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing migration programmes and ensuring robust assurance for the Internal Security Fund (ISF), directly contributing to the UK’s strategic objectives in Nigeria.

The Migration Programme Officer and ISF Assurance Manager will be responsible for the effective delivery and oversight of migration-related initiatives, alongside ensuring the integrity and accountability of ISF investments. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor migration programmes in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage the assurance framework for the Internal Security Fund (ISF), ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for migration programmes and ISF projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Nigerian government counterparts and implementing partners.
  • Prepare regular reports on programme progress, challenges, and financial oversight.
  • Provide expert advice on migration policy and ISF assurance best practices.
  • Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in programme management, particularly within the development or international relations sector.
