Job Overview

The Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing the quality standards of our suppliers. This position demands a proactive approach to supplier qualification, auditing, and performance management, directly impacting the reliability and effectiveness of Baker Hughes’ offerings to the global energy market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough supplier audits (on-site and remote) to assess compliance with Baker Hughes’ quality standards and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans in collaboration with suppliers to address performance gaps.
  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including inspection and test plans, and certifications.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Monitor and report on supplier quality performance metrics.
  • Participate in new supplier qualification processes.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality engineering within the oilfield services and equipment industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
