Job Overview
The Staff Software Engineer will be instrumental in driving the technical direction and implementation of CodePath's educational technology. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build robust, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions that enhance the learning experience for our students and streamline operations for our instructors.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of new features and improvements to CodePath’s core platforms.
- Architect and implement scalable, high-performance, and reliable software systems.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Champion best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and technical strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the engineering stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
