Job Overview
The Special Education Needs Teacher will play a vital role in identifying, assessing, and supporting students with diverse learning needs. - Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ specific learning, behavioral, and developmental needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with special educational needs, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions and strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student assessments, progress, and interventions.
- Promote an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Post-graduate qualification or certification in Special Education is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with children with a range of special educational needs (e.g., learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, developmental delays).
- Strong understanding of assessment tools and methodologies for identifying special educational needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
