Job Overview
This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States, with a preference for candidates in or near Austin, USA. The Senior Technical Revenue Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our revenue recognition processes.Key Responsibilities
- Execute and document complex revenue recognition transactions in accordance with ASC 606.
- Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos and policy documents.
- Support the accounting team in month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Legal, to interpret contract terms and ensure proper revenue treatment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of revenue accounting processes and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical revenue accounting, preferably within a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
