Job Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Gremlin, you'll contribute to the development of our core platform, which helps organizations strengthen their systems through controlled chaos experiments. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from France while collaborating with a global team of engineers, product managers, and chaos engineering experts committed to transforming how enterprises approach reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services that support chaos engineering experiments across diverse infrastructure environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into robust, maintainable code
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical strategy for platform evolution
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance and reliability
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Proficiency in languages such as Go, Java, Python, or similar
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
- Experience building and maintaining production systems at scale
