Job Overview
The Senior Accountant, Revenue will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting principles. This role will support the accounting team in month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements.Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the revenue recognition process for all sales.
- Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the revenue accounting function.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure accurate contract interpretation.
- Stay current with evolving accounting standards related to revenue recognition.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in ASC 606.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
