Job Overview
The Program Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of programs aimed at addressing sexual and gender-based violence in Nigerian universities. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's initiatives create lasting impact through coordinated advocacy, research activities, and institutional partnerships across tertiary institutions nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage program strategies aligned with organizational goals for gender equity advancement
- Coordinate implementation of research, advocacy, and policy reform initiatives
- Oversee survivor-centred intervention programs and ensure quality service delivery
- Monitor program progress, evaluate outcomes, and prepare comprehensive reports
- Build and maintain partnerships with tertiary institutions and stakeholder organizations
- Manage program budgets and ensure effective resource allocation
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal departments
Requirements
- Proven program management experience in non-profit or development sectors
- Strong knowledge of gender equity, SGBV prevention, and related policy frameworks
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree preferred
- Experience working with tertiary institutions or academic environments
