Job Overview
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. - Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational needs.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract management.
- Identify and vet suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, ethical, and financial standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, procedures, and donor regulations.
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee inventory management and logistics for procured goods.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar senior procurement role.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations or in the global health sector is an advantage.
