Job Overview
Plan International Peru seeks a dynamic Policy, Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships Officer to lead on climate and emerging themes, contributing to our ambitious programmatic and advocacy agenda in Peru. This role is crucial for strengthening our influence and impact on critical issues affecting children and communities.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policy and advocacy strategies related to climate change and emerging thematic areas.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with government bodies, civil society organisations, academic institutions, and the private sector.
- Represent Plan International in relevant national and international forums, contributing to policy dialogues and shaping discourse.
- Conduct research and analysis on climate-related policies and emerging issues impacting children’s rights in Peru.
- Provide technical expertise and support to country programs on climate action and emerging themes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or Social Sciences.
- Proven experience in policy analysis, advocacy, and strategic partnership development.
- Strong understanding of climate change issues and their implications for child rights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
