Job Overview
The Material Planner will be responsible for the accurate and timely procurement and management of raw materials and packaging components required for beverage production at our Kuala Lumpur facility. This role is crucial in maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing waste, and ensuring the continuous flow of production to meet market demand.Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting material requirements based on production schedules and historical data.
- Placing purchase orders with approved suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stocktakes.
- Collaborating with production, warehouse, and quality assurance teams to ensure material availability.
- Implementing inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Identifying potential supply chain risks and developing mitigation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in material planning, procurement, or inventory management within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
