Job Overview
The Laboratory Technician (Food and Beverage II) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage laboratory, assisting faculty and students with practical sessions, experiments, and research projects. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and setup of laboratory equipment and materials for practical classes and research.
- Provide technical support and guidance to students and faculty during laboratory experiments.
- Ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized laboratory space.
- Assist in data collection and analysis as required for research projects.
- Support in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Food Science, Food Technology, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a food and beverage laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques relevant to food science.
- Good understanding of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
