Job Overview
The Full Stack Data Scientist III/IV will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying innovative data solutions to address complex challenges in international development. This role requires a blend of strong statistical and machine learning expertise, robust software engineering skills, and the ability to translate research findings into actionable insights for our clients. You will work across the full data science lifecycle, from data collection and cleaning to model building, deployment, and rigorous evaluation.Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end data science solutions, including data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytical tools.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and production-ready code in Python and other relevant programming languages.
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses, build predictive models, and perform rigorous experimental designs (e.g., RCTs).
- Collaborate with project teams and clients to understand data needs, define project scope, and communicate findings effectively.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of IDinsight’s data science methodologies and tools.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of learning and innovation.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong understanding of statistical inference, experimental design, and causal inference methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
