Job Overview
The Field Technician will play a critical role in delivering on-the-ground support to our clients and internal operations. This position requires a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot technical issues, conduct field assessments, and ensure seamless service delivery in remote and urban settings. You will work closely with our asset finance teams and clients to maintain equipment, resolve operational challenges, and gather field intelligence that informs our business model.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits to assess client assets and verify collateral conditions
- Troubleshoot and maintain financed assets and related technical equipment
- Collect and document field data accurately using company systems
- Provide technical support and training to informal sector entrepreneurs
- Identify and report operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
- Maintain detailed records of all field activities and client interactions
- Collaborate with loan officers and management on asset recovery and client support
Requirements
- Secondary education minimum; technical certification preferred
- Proven experience in field operations or technical support roles
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in challenging environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and data entry
