Job Overview
The Executive Director, Analytics Engineering will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for Lifelancer’s analytics engineering function. This role is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure and pipelines that support advanced analytics, business intelligence, and data science initiatives.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's analytics engineering strategy, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented analytics engineers.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all data platforms.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that drive measurable value.
- Champion best practices in data modeling, data architecture, and data platform development.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing data teams.
- Deep expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
