Job Overview
The Engineering Officer will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all engineering systems and equipment at our Igbariam facility. This includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems critical to our poultry production operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and best practices.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all engineering operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for engineering supplies.
- Supervise and train junior technical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Officer or similar role, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting.
