Job Overview
The Director, Strategic Research & Evidence will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive research and evidence strategy for World Vision Kenya. This includes overseeing the design, execution, and dissemination of research studies, impact evaluations, and learning initiatives. The role will foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making, ensuring that programs are informed by robust data and insights.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the implementation of World Vision Kenya's research and evidence strategy.
- Oversee the design, data collection, analysis, and reporting of research projects and evaluations.
- Build and manage relationships with research partners, academic institutions, and government bodies.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights for program design, policy, and advocacy.
- Promote learning and knowledge management across the organization.
- Ensure the ethical conduct of research and adherence to data privacy standards.
- Manage the research and evidence team, fostering their professional development.
- Contribute to resource mobilization efforts through evidence-based proposals.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field such as International Development, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or Public Health.
- Significant experience in designing and managing research studies and impact evaluations.
- Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience in a leadership role within the development or humanitarian sector.
- Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of child well-being and poverty reduction issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
