Job Overview
As a Director I, Data Science, you will be instrumental in advancing Liberty Mutual's data science maturity and leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including Generative AI, to solve complex business challenges. You will guide a team of talented data scientists and engineers, foster collaboration, and drive the adoption of best practices in model development, deployment, and monitoring.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models and GenAI solutions.
- Oversee MLOps practices to ensure efficient and reliable deployment and management of machine learning models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and translate them into data science projects.
- Mentor and develop a team of data scientists, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data science, machine learning, and AI.
- Ensure the ethical and responsible use of data science and AI within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data science, with a strong emphasis on developing and deploying production-level models.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with MLOps principles and tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and implementing Generative AI solutions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
