Job Overview
The Data Engineering Manager will oversee the development and implementation of Spokeo's data pipelines, warehousing, and analytical infrastructure. You will guide a team of data engineers, foster best practices, and collaborate closely with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver data solutions that drive business insights and product innovation.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Develop and maintain our data warehouse and data lake solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Drive the adoption of data engineering best practices and technologies.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for data engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data engineering with a strong track record of leading successful projects.
- Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT best practices.
- Strong understanding of data governance and security principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
