Job Overview
The Business Development Manager, China, will be instrumental in identifying, cultivating, and scaling strategic partnerships across various sectors in China to deliver VisionSpring's affordable eyeglasses solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the Chinese market and the ability to translate VisionSpring's mission into tangible business growth and social impact.Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within China's textile, artisan, and skilled trade sectors.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including local businesses, NGOs, and government entities.
- Develop and execute market entry and expansion strategies tailored to the Chinese context.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements that align with VisionSpring's operational and financial goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless program implementation and delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably within the social enterprise or healthcare sectors.
- Strong understanding of the Chinese business environment and cultural nuances.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
