Job Overview
This role involves the comprehensive management of anti-money laundering (AML) alerts and cases. You will conduct in-depth investigations, document findings, and contribute to the enhancement of our detection systems, ensuring the integrity of Shopify’s payment operations.Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of AML transaction monitoring alerts and cases.
- Triage, investigate, and disposition alerts, maintaining accurate and supportive records.
- Prepare Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) referrals and narratives for review.
- Contribute evidence and insights to improve transaction monitoring detection rules.
- Execute and complete assigned operational projects within the Payment Operations team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in AML transaction monitoring or a related financial crime compliance field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with SAR filing procedures and requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
