Job Overview
FAO-UN is seeking experienced specialists to support the SURAGGWA program, which focuses on enhancing agricultural productivity, value chain development, environmental sustainability, and social protection in Nigeria. The four available positions include roles in social safeguards and gender, value chains and rural finance, ecological monitoring and evaluation, and program assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social safeguards and gender-sensitive policies
- Strengthen rural value chains and microfinance systems
- Conduct ecological monitoring and project evaluation
- Provide technical support to FAO program implementation
- Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders
- Report on program progress and outcomes
Requirements
- Advanced degree in relevant field (agriculture, development, social sciences, environmental management)
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in development or humanitarian work
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian agricultural sector
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Experience with UN or international organizations preferred
