The UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition is now open for applications on MorrJobs. Organized by UNESCO in collaboration with BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., this initiative aims to empower science clubs across Africa by supporting innovation, STEM education, and sustainable development.

The UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition is part of a broader global effort to establish a vibrant network of young innovators, educators, and science enthusiasts through the UNESCO Science Clubs Network.

About the UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition

The UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition is designed to strengthen science clubs by recognizing impactful STEM activities and encouraging long term sustainability. Selected African science clubs will become part of the UNESCO Science Clubs Network, which will officially launch globally in June 2026.

Participating clubs from Africa will first be announced in Namibia in December 2025. This will be followed by additional regional launches in Asia Pacific and the Arab region, leading up to the global unveiling in Paris.

Eligibility and Participation Requirements

Science clubs across Africa are invited to apply for the UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition by showcasing their recent work and future plans.

To participate, applicants must:

  • Document STEM related activities carried out within five months before the application deadline
  • Highlight achievements and impact on beneficiaries
  • Demonstrate commitment to science education and innovation

Application Requirements

Applicants for the UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition are expected to prepare and submit the following:

1. Final Project Report

  • Detailed report of STEM activities conducted
  • Include data on beneficiaries reached
  • Add supporting photos or videos where available

2. STEM Education Resources (Optional)

  • Teaching materials or learning modules developed by the club

3. Development Roadmap

  • Clear strategy for future growth
  • Plans for sustainability and expansion

Awards and Recognition

Outstanding entries in the UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition will receive recognition through a virtual or in person award ceremony.
