The 2026 Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative Essay Competition is now open to students across Nigeria who are interested in exploring the role of artificial intelligence in society. Eligibility Criteria for 2026 Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative Essay Competition

To qualify for this competition, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a student in a recognised Nigerian tertiary institution
  • Open to universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, monotechnics, and schools of nursing
  • Must be between 18 and 30 years old

Essay Submission Guidelines

Applicants are required to follow these guidelines carefully:

  • Essay must be between 1,200 and 1,500 words
  • Language must be English
  • Font style should be Times New Roman, size 12
  • Line spacing should be double spaced

Use of AI Tools

  • Submissions that appear fully generated by AI without meaningful personal input will be disqualified

  • First Prize: N400,000
  • Second Prize: N300,000
  • Third Prize: N200,000

In addition:

  • The top 10 finalists will each receive N100,000
  • Finalists will be invited to attend the Grand Finale Event with full sponsorship
