The UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition is part of a global initiative to create a worldwide network of young scientists, educators, and innovators. Selected African science clubs will become part of the upcoming UNESCO Science Clubs Network.

Regional launches will take place across different continents, with the African edition contributing to a global rollout that will culminate in Paris in June 2026.

Purpose of the Challenge

How to Participate in the UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition

Science clubs across Africa are invited to take part by submitting evidence of their STEM activities and achievements carried out within five months before the application deadline.

Applicants are required to prepare and submit the following:

• A final project report showing STEM activities conducted
• Data on beneficiaries reached through the activities
• Optional photos and videos showcasing club projects
• STEM education resources or teaching modules developed by the club (optional)
• A detailed roadmap for future growth, sustainability, and expansion plans

Outstanding entries in the UNESCO Science Club Challenge 2026 African Edition will be recognized through online, hybrid, or physical award ceremonies.
