Job Overview
The Sixth Form Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in Years 12 and 13, preparing them for external examinations and their future academic and professional endeavours. This role requires a deep understanding of the relevant curriculum, innovative teaching methodologies, and a commitment to fostering the holistic development of our students in line with Court Hill College’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in accordance with the Sixth Form curriculum.
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and independent learning.
- Mentor and guide students, promoting their personal and academic growth.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and school-wide initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behaviour.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area from a recognized institution.
- A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching at the secondary or Sixth Form level.
- Deep knowledge of the subject matter and relevant examination syllabi.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
