Job Overview

The Special Needs Children Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing tailored instruction to students with special needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various learning disabilities and a commitment to promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student assessments and needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in a classroom or small group setting.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and prepare reports on student performance.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Utilize a variety of specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Proven experience working with children with special needs.
• Knowledge of various special educational needs and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Relevant certifications in Special Education are an advantage.
