Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Observability Architect to join our West Coast team. This remote position requires deep expertise in observability principles, tooling, and best practices, with a focus on architecting scalable and robust solutions. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver best-in-class observability experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive observability strategies for clients, encompassing metrics, logs, traces, and other relevant data sources.
  • Architect and deploy solutions leveraging Grafana Cloud and other open-source observability tools.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to internal teams and customers.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our observability offerings.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and reusable architectural patterns.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Observability Architect or in a similar senior technical role.
  • Deep understanding of observability concepts (metrics, logging, tracing, profiling).
  • Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and other relevant open-source observability projects.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, microservices).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and their observability challenges.
