Job Overview
Sweet Nation Foods is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across Nigeria. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, expanding our market reach, and fostering strong relationships with our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales management within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, demonstrating exceptional leadership and strategic thinking. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative sales strategies that align with our mission to bring joy and premium snacking experiences to every corner of the nation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed company sales targets and revenue goals.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure optimal results.
* Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, expanding our customer base and strengthening relationships with existing clients across various channels.
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities for product placement and sales growth.
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders throughout Nigeria.
* Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring profitable growth and efficient resource allocation.
* Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and execute integrated sales and marketing campaigns.
* Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic adjustments.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales management, preferably within the FMCG or food and beverage industry in Nigeria.
* Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a sales force.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
* In-depth understanding of the Nigerian retail landscape and distribution channels.
* Proficiency in sales forecasting, CRM software, and data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
* A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.
