Job Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in managing all costs relating to construction projects from initial calculations to final figures. This involves preparing tender documentation, negotiating contracts, and ensuring all projects are completed within budget and to the required quality standards. You will liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure commercial viability and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit bills of quantities (BoQ) and tender documentation.
  • Cost estimation, budget preparation, and financial forecasting for projects.
  • Procurement and contract administration, including negotiation and variation management.
  • Monitor and control project costs, reporting on financial performance.
  • Value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Assess the financial viability of construction projects.
  • Prepare interim and final accounts.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Nigerian construction industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant surveying software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
