Malaria Consortium Nigeria is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our impactful team in Nigeria. As a leading organization committed to eradicating malaria, we play a crucial role in supporting the Nigerian Ministry of Health and various partners to implement vital control initiatives like SuNMaP, NetWorks, and MAPS. This role is integral to advancing our mission through technical expertise, capacity building, and strengthening health systems across the nation.

Job Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of malaria control projects within Nigeria. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of public health project management in the Nigerian context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project work plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
  • Monitor project progress against objectives and report on key indicators.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including government officials, local partners, and donors.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and future programming.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Project Management, Development Studies, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management, preferably in the health sector in Nigeria.
  • Proven experience in managing complex donor-funded projects.
  • Strong understanding of malaria control strategies and the Nigerian health system.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
