Voice of Women Empowerment Foundation (VoWEF) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Programs Manager to join our dedicated team in Nigeria. VoWEF is a non-profit, non-political organization committed to fostering self-reliance and leadership among women and girls across the nation. Through strategic advocacy on wellbeing and robust capacity-building initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, we empower communities. We collaborate extensively with media organizations in all six geopolitical zones to amplify women’s voices and drive meaningful change.

Job Overview

The Programs Manager will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and overseeing VoWEF’s programmatic activities, ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic objectives. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of gender equality issues in Nigeria, and a passion for driving impactful change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage program strategies, work plans, and budgets.
  • Oversee the implementation of advocacy and capacity-building projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate program progress, impact, and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, trainings, and community engagement activities.
  • Contribute to fundraising and proposal development efforts.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in program management within the non-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated understanding of gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the Nigerian context.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
