Job Overview

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the feed mill operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production of animal feed. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of feed manufacturing processes, quality control, and team leadership to meet our company’s rigorous standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day feed mill production activities, optimizing workflow and resource allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality control protocols.
  • Supervise and train production staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement and sales teams.
  • Implement and maintain production schedules to meet demand forecasts.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in feed mill production management.
  • Proven understanding of feed manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality assurance.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant Nigerian agricultural regulations.
