Kaizen Business Analysis & Improvement for MSMEs

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Government of Japan, is seeking a qualified professional to support business improvement initiatives across Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe States. This role focuses on implementing Kaizen methodology to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Job Overview

You will serve as a Kaizen Business Analyst, driving continuous improvement practices within target MSMEs. This position combines analytical expertise with hands-on consulting to help enterprises optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve profitability through Japanese lean management principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive business analysis of participating MSMEs
• Implement Kaizen improvement methodologies and best practices
• Provide training and coaching on continuous improvement techniques
• Monitor progress and document measurable improvements
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement across the three states

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ business analysis experience
• Proven knowledge of Kaizen or lean management principles
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Regional familiarity with northern Nigeria
