Job Overview

The Audit Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and executing comprehensive internal audits across Secom Limited’s diverse operations in Nigeria. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the effectiveness of internal controls, thereby safeguarding company assets and promoting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual audit plans based on risk assessments.
  • Lead and supervise audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, and potential fraud.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely and effective remediation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with departmental heads and stakeholders.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting/auditing certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in internal or external auditing.
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry regulations and best practices in Nigeria.
  • Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
