Job Overview
The Intensive Care Trained Nurse will be responsible for delivering specialized, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients within our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role demands exceptional clinical skills, critical thinking, and a compassionate approach to patient management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill patients.
- Monitor vital signs, patient status, and implement interventions based on established protocols and physician orders.
- Administer medications, treatments, and manage advanced life support equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on critical care conditions and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure adherence to infection control policies and safety standards.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from a recognized institution.
- Post-basic qualification/certification in Intensive Care Nursing.
- Current practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
