Job Overview

The HSE Supervisor will be instrumental in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental standards across HIL’s operations in Nigeria are upheld and continuously improved. This role demands a proactive approach to risk management and a deep understanding of industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide HSE training and awareness programs to all personnel.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and promote sustainable practices.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Manage emergency response plans and preparedness.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HSE Supervisor in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and international standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
