## Job Overview

As our HSE Executive, you will play a pivotal role in upholding and enhancing Smartflow Technologies’ rigorous safety standards across all operations. This position requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations pertinent to the Nigerian context, particularly within the industrial and energy sectors. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a strong safety culture and minimizing risks associated with our projects and daily operations.

## Key Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system in compliance with Nigerian regulations and international best practices.
* Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending appropriate measures to prevent recurrence.
* Organize and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and competence in safety procedures.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and company policies regarding waste management, emissions, and pollution control.
* Prepare and submit detailed HSE reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, incident trends, and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all project planning and execution phases.
* Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related queries and concerns, providing expert guidance and support to operational teams.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of evolving HSE regulations and industry standards, adapting company policies accordingly.

## Requirements

* A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the oil and gas, manufacturing, or industrial services sectors in Nigeria.
* In-depth knowledge of Nigerian HSE legislation, including but not limited to Factory Act, Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) regulations, and relevant industry standards.
* Possession of relevant professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OHSAS/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) is highly advantageous.
* Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety management systems and conduct comprehensive risk assessments.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
