Job Overview
LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Marketing to spearhead our marketing strategies and brand elevation. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans that resonate with our target demographics, enhance brand visibility, and drive the uptake of our crucial financial services. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in marketing leadership, a deep understanding of the Nigerian financial landscape, and a passion for social impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a holistic marketing strategy aligned with LAPO MfB’s mission and business objectives, focusing on brand positioning and market penetration.
* Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across diverse channels, including digital, traditional media, and community outreach initiatives.
* Oversee market research and analysis to identify customer needs, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends within the microfinance sector.
* Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum return on investment.
* Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results-orientation.
* Drive brand awareness and perception through compelling storytelling, public relations activities, and strategic partnerships.
* Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to foster loyalty and advocacy for LAPO MfB’s products and services.
* Collaborate closely with sales, product development, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and alignment with overall business goals.
Requirements
* A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans within the financial services sector, preferably microfinance or retail banking.
* In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian market, consumer behavior, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and content creation.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
