Job Overview

The Head, Domestic Switching & Terminal Operations will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of UP®’s domestic switching infrastructure and all terminal-related operations. This role demands a deep understanding of payment systems, robust analytical skills, and the ability to drive efficiency, innovation, and service excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of domestic switching operations.
  • Manage and optimize all terminal deployment, support, and management functions.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of UP®’s switching platforms.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with member banks and key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in payment operations, switching, or terminal management.
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment card industry (PCI) standards and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and transaction processing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
