Job Overview
The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer III will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex instrumentation and control systems critical to ABNL’s oil and gas operations. This role requires a deep understanding of process control, automation, and safety systems to ensure efficient and reliable project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design and specify instrumentation, control valves, and safety systems for oil and gas facilities.
Develop P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control philosophies.
Configure and program Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control equipment.
Conduct performance testing and provide technical support for operational teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
Proven experience with major DCS, PLC, and SIS platforms.
Strong understanding of process instrumentation, control theory, and hazardous area classifications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
