Job Overview

DAG Industries Nigeria Limited is actively seeking five (5) Credit Officers to join our finance department. These vital roles will be instrumental in assessing creditworthiness, managing loan portfolios, and ensuring the financial health of our clients and the company. You will be at the forefront of our lending operations, contributing to informed decision-making and mitigating financial risks. Key Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough credit analysis of potential and existing clients, evaluating financial statements, credit history, and collateral.
* Assess the risk associated with loan applications and provide recommendations for approval or rejection based on established credit policies and guidelines.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and offering appropriate credit solutions.
* Monitor loan portfolios, ensuring timely repayment and identifying potential defaults or delinquencies.
* Implement and enforce collection strategies for overdue accounts, working towards amicable resolutions.
* Prepare comprehensive credit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to credit and lending.
* Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and operations, to facilitate smooth credit processes and client onboarding.

Requirements

* A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
* A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of proven experience as a Credit Officer or in a similar credit-related role.
* Preference will be given to candidates with experience in automobile financing, vehicle financing, loan facilities, leasing, or asset financing.
* Demonstrated understanding of credit assessment methodologies, financial statement analysis, and risk management principles.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in relevant financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
