Accountability Assistant
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) seeks an experienced Accountability Assistant to strengthen our commitment to transparency and impact measurement across our humanitarian operations. Since 1956, DRC has provided vital assistance to conflict-affected populations across more than 30 countries. As we expand our work with refugees, internally displaced persons, and host communities, we require a dedicated professional to ensure our programs maintain the highest standards of accountability and responsiveness to beneficiaries.
Job Overview
The Accountability Assistant will support DRC’s accountability mechanisms, ensuring our humanitarian interventions are transparent, effective, and genuinely responsive to the needs of affected populations. This role bridges organizational operations and beneficiary feedback systems, contributing to continuous program improvement and stakeholder trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate feedback mechanisms for beneficiary complaints and suggestions
- Document lessons learned and best practices from field operations
- Support monitoring and evaluation activities across program areas
- Prepare accountability reports and impact assessments
- Liaise between headquarters and field teams regarding accountability concerns
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in humanitarian studies, development, or related field
- 2+ years experience in accountability or monitoring roles
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Danish and English
