Field Verification Officer (Lekki – Ajah)

Jiji.ng, Nigeria’s fast-growing free online classifieds platform, is seeking a diligent Field Verification Officer to join our Lekki-Ajah team. We’re committed to maintaining the highest security standards and ensuring genuine transactions on our platform. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in verifying listings, conducting field investigations, and protecting both buyers and sellers from fraudulent activities.

Job Overview

As a Field Verification Officer, you’ll work on the ground to validate property listings, confirm seller authenticity, and investigate reported concerns. Your efforts will directly enhance user trust and safety on our platform, supporting Jiji.ng’s mission to provide a hassle-free buying and selling experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site verification of property and product listings
• Interview sellers and buyers to confirm transaction legitimacy
• Document findings with photographs and detailed reports
• Investigate fraud complaints and suspicious activities
• Maintain accurate records and meet daily verification targets
• Collaborate with the security team to identify patterns
• Provide feedback to improve platform safety protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum; tertiary education preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Physical fitness and reliability
• Familiarity with Lekki-Ajah area
• Valid means of transportation
