Job Overview
The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for managing all aspects of laundry services for Alfred & Victoria Associates, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for uniforms, linens, and other fabric items used within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and process laundry items according to established procedures.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
- Apply appropriate detergents, stain removers, and fabric softeners.
- Fold, iron, and press laundry items to meet quality standards.
- Inspect finished items for any defects or damage and report them accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including equipment and storage spaces.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and report low stock levels.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with different types of fabrics and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ability to operate and maintain laundry machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good time management and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift moderate weight.
