Job Overview

The SME Officer will serve as a key liaison between Good Neighbours MFB and our small and medium-sized enterprise clients. This position involves managing loan portfolios, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction while maintaining compliance with CBN regulations. The successful candidate will contribute to our institution’s reputation for excellence in service delivery and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process SME loan applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Monitor and manage assigned loan portfolios
• Build and maintain strong relationships with SME clients
• Conduct business assessments and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with CBN guidelines and internal policies
• Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in SME lending or microfinance
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Knowledge of CBN regulations and microfinance operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
