Job Overview

The Radiology Safety Adviser will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring radiation protection protocols across our radiology department. This role ensures compliance with Nigerian regulatory standards and international best practices in radiological safety, while promoting a culture of safety excellence throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce radiation safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments of radiology equipment
• Monitor staff radiation exposure and maintain detailed safety records
• Provide training and guidance to radiology personnel on safety protocols
• Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective measures
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on compliance matters

Requirements

• Professional certification in Radiation Protection or Medical Physics
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in radiology safety management
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian radiation protection regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Valid professional license and certifications
